Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Sonic ReLvl! Create a FREE account to build your own Sonic the Hedgehog levels, share them with the community, and play levels made by other members.

This website is an unofficial, non-profit revival of Mediatonic & SEGA's "PlaySEGA" service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mediatonic or SEGA.

 

 

 

Start a new level

Open the Level Creator, give your level a name and pick a map size. You can come back to it any time from My Levels.

Build it

Paint terrain from the Tiles tab, then drag in objects, rings and enemies from their tabs. Every level needs exactly one Sonic Spawn and one Sign Post from the Essentials tab: without both, a level can be neither saved nor tested. Each tile area holds up to 7 objects, and each object needs a placed tile.

Test, save and share

Press Test Level to play your level right inside the editor. Save keeps it in My Levels. Share publishes it permanently so it appears in All Levels for everyone.

 

Playing levels

Browse All Levels to play levels shared by the community. In the editor, press Stop testing to leave test mode and keep building.

 

Managing your levels

My Levels lists everything you have saved. Open a level to keep editing it, Rename it, or Delete it. A level stays unpublished until you share it; published levels carry a Published label and cannot be taken back.

 

 

 

A very small percentage of people may experience seizures or blackouts triggered by flashing lights, patterns or certain visual images that may appear in video games. Please be aware that even people who have never had a photosensitive epileptic seizure may have an undiagnosed condition that may be triggered by viewing video games. In the event that you encounter any of the following symptoms: convulsions; eye or face twitching; loss of awareness; jerking and shaking of arms and legs; disorientation; altered vision, stop playing immediately and consult a doctor. Parents should be aware of these symptoms as children and teenagers are more likely than adults to experience these seizures. In order to reduce the risk of epileptic seizures it is advised that video games should be played in a well-lit room; not to play while drowsy or fatigued; take 10-15 minute breaks every hour.
